Rescue Run in Mt. Juliet
The Rescue Run at Two Rivers Ford in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee is a Thanksgiving Day event that raises money for Animal Rescue Corps. The event includes a timed USA-TF certified 5K course and a 1 mile family fun run. It is presented as Mt. Juliet’s oldest and largest Thanksgiving day run, formerly known as the Turkey Trot.
The event permits strollers and well-socialized, leashed dogs on course. Timing and awards are part of the 5K competition: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals are awarded to the fastest male and female runners in a dozen+ age groups. An additional trophy and a gift basket are awarded to the overall fastest male and female winners.
Registration for both events opens on August 1. The Rescue Run is organized to benefit Animal Rescue Corps and to raise funds for animal protection through the 5K race and the 1 mile family run.
