About the race
The Nashville Turkey Trot takes place in Nashville, Tennessee on November 26, 2026. The event offers multiple race options and is part of the nationwide Thankful Turkey series, with results entered into a national leaderboard.
Available distances include:
- 10 Mile
- 5K
- Kids Dash
The course is entirely on paved road or trail and the event is chip timed. Course time limits are published for each distance: 10 Mile - 2 hours 20 minutes; 5K - 1 hour 30 minutes. All water stations include water. There is no gear check at the event site. Strollers are allowed for walkers and joggers only; dogs are not permitted. Headphones and personal audio devices are allowed but not recommended.
Participant gear options include a classic t-shirt or an upgraded thin-tec soft polyester pullover. Finishers receive a commemorative medal and a local donut at the finish line. Packet pickup options include mailed packets (fee applies), pre-event pickup, or event-morning pickup (the latter is not recommended). Virtual entries are available and virtual packets are mailed after race day.
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group and overall in chip-timed categories; kids in the Kids Dash receive a finisher award. Volunteers help at water stations, check-in and course marshaling and receive an event shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
