Zombie Half Marathon
The Zombie Half Marathon is a seasonal running event held in Anchorage, Alaska. Participants navigate a course that utilizes the Coastal and Chester Creek trails. The event takes place regardless of the prevailing weather or trail conditions on race day.
Participants have the option to compete in several formats:
- Half Marathon (13.1094 miles)
- Half Marathon Relay (13.1 miles)
- Virtual Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
The relay option is designed for two-person teams, with the exchange point located at Earthquake Park. For those choosing the virtual format, participants select their own route and date to complete the distance.
In keeping with the theme of the event, runners are encouraged to wear costumes, specifically zombie attire. The event incorporates a fixed cutoff time, requiring all participants to finish by 1:30 pm to receive an official result.
The race starts at the Goose Lake Picnic Shelter. There is no shuttle service provided between the start and the finish lines, so participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation or shuttle logistics. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
