Event Overview
The Zombie Half Marathon is a late season running event held in Anchorage, Alaska. The course utilizes the Coastal and Chester Creek trails. In the spirit of the event theme, participants are encouraged to wear costumes and zombie attire while completing their race.
The event features several ways to participate:
- In-Person Half Marathon
- Half Marathon Relay (2-person)
- Virtual Half Marathon
The in-person race takes place regardless of weather or trail conditions. There is no shuttle service provided between the start and the finish locations; participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation or rides on the day of the race. To receive an official finish time, runners must reach the finish line by the designated 1:30 pm cutoff.
The Virtual Half Marathon option allows participants to complete their distance independently between October 1st and October 11th. For those interested in multiple local events, this race is also available as part of a multi-event bundle that includes common regional races such as the Anchorage RunFest, the Trent Waldron Half Marathon, and the Snow Globe Run.
