Event details
The 2026 Tri Flake Winter Triathlon takes place on Saturday, January 17, 2026, in Anchorage, AK (9401 West Raspberry Road, Kincaid Park). The event uses a winter triathlon format with three snow-based disciplines: run, snow bike and ski. There are solo and team options; team entries accommodate 2-3 person teams. The solo event is open to ages 16-89 and the team event is open to ages 12-89. Base entry fees listed are $70 for the solo event and $145 for the team event. Prices increase after January 1, 2026 at 11:59 pm AKST. A $5 discount is offered to active and retired military personnel and to ATC members paid for 2026. Once registered, no refunds are offered. If the event is cancelled for reasons beyond organizer control, registered participants are offered a deferral to the 2026 Hammerman, the 2026 Moose Nugget or the 2027 Tri Flake.
Course and logistics
The competition is based in the main stadium at the Kincaid Park nordic center. Course information provided by the organizer notes that final routes and distances may change depending on race morning conditions. Course basics listed include:
- Run: 6K out-and-back on the Coastal Trail.
- Bike: about 13K two-lap course on Raspberry Road multi-use trail and STA single track.
- Ski: 6K freestyle, two-lap course on Kincaid nordic ski trails.
