AMH Anchorage Cup - Hickock Skiathlon
The AMH Anchorage Cup series is organized by the Nordic Ski Association of Anchorage. Race #2, the Hickock Skiathlon, combines classic and freestyle formats on separate loops so skiers complete both techniques in one event.
The Hickock Skiathlon offers these course options:
- 10 km skiathlon: 5 km classic + 5 km freestyle
- 5 km skiathlon: 2.5 km classic + 2.5 km freestyle
- Otter Trot for young children
- Cub Ski for young children
Race holding depends on weather and trail safety. The Race Director evaluates temperature, wind, precipitation and course conditions and will determine whether the race can proceed; when conditions are marginal participants may be advised to enter shorter distances. Cancellations will be posted on the event website and the NSAA Facebook page. Registration fees will not be refunded if a race is canceled.
Pricing is tiered by age and membership:
- Youth (11 and under): Free
- Student (12–24): $20.00
- NSAA Member Adult (25+): $30.00
- Non Member (12+): $50.00
NSAA member adults who register by December 7 for all five races in the series receive a $25 registration discount. An after party will take place at the bunker following racing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
