Turkey Trot
The Turkey Trot is a six-hour running event at the Suffolk Running Centre, IP29 5AX. Participants run as far as they can within the event time on a 10.5 km loop that mixes road and trail. The route intended for this event is the BACK QUACK route.
Participants may complete recognised race distances while running laps on the loop. Options referenced for completion include:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half Marathon
- Full Marathon
- Ultra-Marathon
Event logistics include parking as part of entry. A marshal will be positioned in the car park to assist with parking and to direct participants to the venue. Race registration and bib collection take place at the venue. There is a baggage space in a hut near the start; items are left at the owner’s risk. The Race HQ or base camp is located at the start and lap point and will host the water and aid station. The event uses a mass start format.
The event is cupless, so participants should bring their own bottles or cups for refilling. Terrain is a mix of road and trail; organisers suggest road trainers, with trail shoes optional depending on recent weather. A bespoke event medal is provided at the finish unless a different finisher medal option is chosen. Virtual places are available through the organiser’s website for those who cannot attend in person. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
