Event
The Moo-rathon, Calf and Hen K is organised by Zig Zag Running and takes place on 21 March 2026 at Hyde Hall Farm, Buntingford, SG9 0RU. Distances offered include:
- 10k
- Half Marathon
- Full Marathon
- Ultra Marathon
The event has a maximum of 300 entrants and a minimum age of 18 years. Entries close on 20 March 2026. There is a six-hour event cut off; a shorter four-hour cut off applies for later starters.
Course and logistics
The route starts from the base camp at Hyde Hall Farm and runs around the farm grounds. The course is a trail event that contains some tarmac paths, grassland and trail. Lap formats are used: the heavy half marathon is usually 5 laps with options to change to 6 or 7 on the day, and the ultra is usually 9 laps with the option to increase up to 12 laps.
Facilities listed include a water aid station at the lap point, a baggage area, and secure on-site parking with an attendant to direct parking and race-number collection. Finishers receive a bespoke event medal or, where available, a lucky-dip medal from previous events. The event is cupless, so participants must bring cups or bottles for refreshment refilling.
