Event Overview
The Moo-rathon, Calf and Hen K returns for its third year at Hyde Hall Farm in Buntingford. This trail event takes place within the private grounds of the farm, providing a self-contained environment with exclusive access to the main area. The course is a multi-terrain loop consisting of tarmac paths, grassland, and trail sections.
Distances
Participants can choose from a variety of distances, with many options based on completing a specific number of laps:
- 10k
- 15k
- Half Marathon
- Heavy Half Marathon (typically 5 laps, with options for 6 or 7)
- Full Marathon
- Ultra Marathon (typically 9 laps, with options for up to 12)
Facilities and Logistics
The event features a central base camp at Hyde Hall Farm where the route begins. A combined water and aid station is positioned at the lap point, allowing runners to access refreshments without carrying their own supplies. The event operates on a cupless basis, requiring participants to bring their own bottles or cups for refilling.
On-site amenities include secure parking with attendants to assist with arrivals and a designated baggage area for storing clothing and personal items. Finishers receive a bespoke medal or can opt for a "lucky dip" selection from medals used at previous events. Maximum time limits apply, with a six-hour cutoff for early starters and a four-hour cutoff for later starters. Entries close 48 hours before the event date.
