Event Overview

The Moo-rathon, Calf and Hen K returns for its third year at Hyde Hall Farm in Buntingford. This trail event takes place within the private grounds of the farm, providing a self-contained environment with exclusive access to the main area. The course is a multi-terrain loop consisting of tarmac paths, grassland, and trail sections.

Distances

Participants can choose from a variety of distances, with many options based on completing a specific number of laps:

  • 10k
  • 15k
  • Half Marathon
  • Heavy Half Marathon (typically 5 laps, with options for 6 or 7)
  • Full Marathon
  • Ultra Marathon (typically 9 laps, with options for up to 12)

Facilities and Logistics

The event features a central base camp at Hyde Hall Farm where the route begins. A combined water and aid station is positioned at the lap point, allowing runners to access refreshments without carrying their own supplies. The event operates on a cupless basis, requiring participants to bring their own bottles or cups for refilling.

On-site amenities include secure parking with attendants to assist with arrivals and a designated baggage area for storing clothing and personal items. Finishers receive a bespoke medal or can opt for a "lucky dip" selection from medals used at previous events. Maximum time limits apply, with a six-hour cutoff for early starters and a four-hour cutoff for later starters. Entries close 48 hours before the event date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
