ATW Hatfield 5
ATW Hatfield 5 is a five mile road race held at The Forum Hertfordshire on the College Lane campus in Hatfield, AL10 9AB. The event includes the Herts County Senior Championships and is listed with a course that recorded the third fastest UK 5 mile time in 2022.
The route leaves the campus along the pavements of College Lane, follows two sweeping bends onto the Alban Way, then turns onto Wilkins Green Lane. Runners follow Wilkins Green Lane to its end after approximately 3 metres of climbing, cross the Alban Way, then continue via Smallford Lane and Sleapcross Gardens onto the A414 footpath. The A414 section is described as flat and straight before the route uses Comet Way and returns along the Alban Way into race headquarters.
Event amenities noted by the organiser include custom-designed medals, free event photos, and finish line snacks and goodies. The event supports charity fundraising for Alzheimer’s Research UK with donation and fundraising options offered at checkout. The organiser provides a transfer policy that allows entry transfers to future ATW events up to 48 hours before the event; refunds and transfers to another person are not offered.
