ATW Hatfield 5
ATW Hatfield 5 is a five mile road race organised by ATW Events at The Forum Hertfordshire, College Lane Campus, Hatfield, AL10 9AB. The event features the Herts County Senior Championships and is described as one of the fastest 5 mile courses in the UK; in 2022 it recorded the third fastest time nationally.
The course leaves the university campus along the pavements of College Lane, follows two sweeping bends onto the Alban Way, turns onto Wilkins Green Lane with only 3 metres of climbing, crosses back to Smallford Lane, then onto Sleapcross Gardens and the flat straight A414 footpath. Runners continue via Comet Way before returning along the Alban Way to race HQ.
Participants receive custom designed medals, free event photos, and finish line snacks and goodies. The event lists Alzheimers Research UK as its partner charity and provides opportunities to donate and fundraise at checkout. Free parking is available on site.
ATW’s transfer and refund policy states that refunds are not offered and entries cannot be transferred to another person. Entrants unable to attend may transfer their entry to any future ATW event up to 48 hours before the original event date; no proof is required.
