The ATW Hatfield 5 is a five-mile road race held at The Forum, Hertfordshire University College Lane Campus, Hatfield. The event includes the Herts County Championships and the event produced the third-fastest five-mile time in the UK in 2022.

Course, facilities and organisation
The course starts at The Forum on the university campus, follows pavements along College Lane, then goes onto The Alban Way after two sweeping bends. Runners turn onto Wilkins Green Lane, reaching about 3 metres of total climbing, then cross the Alban Way onto Smallford Lane. The route continues via Sleapcross Gardens onto the flat, straight A414 footpath, then onto Comet Way and back along the Alban Way to race headquarters.
Event amenities include custom-designed medals, free event photos, and finish-line snacks and goodies. Free parking is available on site. The organiser, ATW, is a UK events company established in 2011 that runs running, triathlon, duathlon, aquathon, cycling and swimming events and records over 40,000 entries a year. The event partners with Alzheimer’s Research UK and offers donation and fundraising options at checkout. The organiser’s policy does not offer refunds or transfers to another person; entries can be transferred to any future ATW event up to 48 hours before the original event, with no proof required.
