The brainstrust Bass Belle is a 10 mile road and off road race held in Bassingbourn, England, organised by brainstrust - the brain cancer people. The course is described as flat and fast, comprising 8.5 miles on road and 1.5 miles off road, and it passes through local villages in South Cambridgeshire.
The event is open to social and club runners aged 16 and over and is limited to 450 places. The race is chip timed and race packs are posted to participants before the event. Finishers receive a bespoke medal, water and chocolate items. There are category winner trophies and a new trophy for the highest fundraiser, and cash prizes are available for beating the course records, currently 52.02 for male and 58.23 for female.
All proceeds from the event support brainstrust services for people diagnosed with a brain tumour and their loved ones. The race has been held multiple times and the 2026 edition is noted as the 12th showing; the event has sold out in each of the last eight years.
