brainstrust Bass Belle 10 Miler
The brainstrust Bass Belle 10 Miler is a flat, chip timed road and off road race held in Bassingbourn, South Cambridgeshire. The route covers 10 miles in total, comprising 8.5 miles on road and 1.5 miles off road, and passes through local villages. The event is open to runners aged 16 and over and is limited to 450 places.
Runners receive their race pack by post before the event. Finishers are awarded a bespoke medal and are provided with water and chocolate snacks at the finish. A cake stall, hot food and additional refreshments at the finish line are listed as TBC. The race offers category winner trophies, a new trophy for the highest fundraiser, and cash prizes for beating the existing course records of 52.02 for men and 58.23 for women.
The event is organised by brainstrust - the brain cancer people and all proceeds support the charity. Funds raised help sustain brainstrust services for people diagnosed with a brain tumour and their loved ones, including one to one support and coaching, peer support meetups, expert webinars, and online information.
