Your Heart Counts 5K
The second annual Your Heart Counts 5K takes place on October 3, 2026 at Meeks Park, 490 Meeks Park Rd., Blairsville, GA. The event is presented by Union General Health System and is organized to support cardiac health through Union General.
The course is a 5K route with both the start and finish adjacent to Pavilion #3 in Meeks Park. The route combines pavement and hard-pack gravel, with gentle rolling hills and sections along a scenic creek. Meeks Park is located in the North Georgia Mountains.
Parking is available in Meeks Park at no charge. Pre-race packet pick-up for pre-registered participants is scheduled for Friday, October 2 at the Union General Wellness Center, 376 Deep South Farm Rd., Blairsville, GA. Awards are planned for top overall and masters finishers and for the top three male and female finishers in multiple age categories, including youth and senior divisions.
Participants are asked to wear red in support of cardiac health. The event is scheduled to proceed in all weather conditions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
