Course and rules

The course includes varied and technical trail sections with close to 2,000 ft of climbing on the half marathon. Runners will encounter hiking sections and road crossings. The half marathon has a strict 4.5 hour cutoff; there are no early starts. The half has one water stop at about mile 8 that provides water and Gatorade.

There are no mile markers and no age-group awards. Overall top three male and female finishers receive custom awards. All half marathon and 10K finishers receive a beanie, a pint glass, and a medal; registrants must sign up by November 1 to be guaranteed those items. Race swag is not mailed.
