Course and logistics
The event is a trail race, not a road race. The course includes hiking sections, a significant climb, and some technical trail terrain. Runners must follow course markings and be aware of passing cars at road crossings. There are no mile markers and no age-group awards. The half has one aid station at about 8 miles that provides water and Gatorade. The overall cutoff for the event is 6 hours and no early starts are allowed.
Entries, awards and swag
All half marathon and 10K participants receive a beanie, a finishers pint glass, and a medal. Registrants must sign up by November 1 to be guaranteed the beanie, pint glass, and medal. Overall top three male and female finishers receive custom awards. The organizer does not mail swag and there are no refunds, transfers, or deferments.
