Helen Holiday Half Marathon
The Helen Holiday event in Helen, GA is a holiday-themed trail race offering two distances on mountain trails. The course is scenic and not flat, with technical sections and hiking-required segments. Distances are approximate.
- Half marathon: ~13 miles, ~2,000 ft climbing, technical trails, 4.5 hour cutoff.
- 10K: Trail distance, walkers welcome, approximate course length.
Runners must follow course markings; there are no mile markers and no age group awards. The half marathon includes one aid station near mile 8 with water and sports drink and a cutoff at that station. The event does not permit early starts. Road crossings require attention to passing vehicles.
All half marathon and 10K finishers are slated to receive a beanie, a finishers pint glass, and a medal, with guaranteed swag for those registered by November 1. Swag is not mailed. There are no refunds, transfers, or deferments. Overall top three male and female finishers receive custom awards.
Registration opens March 16, 2026. Event information, maps, and rules are provided by the organizer. The race description notes it is hiker friendly in places but the half marathon is not intended for casual walkers or those new to long trail hikes.
