Event details
The Helen Holiday trail races take place in Helen, Georgia on December 13, 2025. The event offers two distances:
- Half marathon (about 13.1 miles)
- 10K
Registration opens March 17, 2025, and registration closes December 13, 2025. Runners who register by November 1 are guaranteed a beanie, a finishers pint glass, and a medal. The organizer does not mail swag. There are no refunds, transfers, or deferments.
Course and rules
This is a trail race with non‑flat terrain, hiking sections, a significant climb, and some technical trails. The half marathon includes one aid station at approximately mile 8 that provides water and Gatorade. All distances are approximate. There are no mile markers and no age group awards for the trail event. Overall top three male and female finishers receive custom awards.
A strict six‑hour cutoff applies to the half marathon; there are no early starts. The 10K welcomes walkers; the half marathon is hiker/walker friendly but subject to the six‑hour cutoff. Participants are responsible for following course markings and for safety at road crossings. Course maps and aid charts are available from the organizer.
