Helen Holiday Half Marathon by Run Bum
The Helen Holiday event in Helen, GA is a trail running event offering a half marathon and a 10K on mountain and singletrack trails. The course is not flat and includes hiking sections and technical trail; the half marathon features close to 2,000 feet of climbing. The race is described as scenic and hiker friendly in spots. Normally more than half of participants are female.
Race rules and services are set by the organizer. The half marathon has a strict 4.5 hour cutoff and one water stop at approximately 8 miles that includes a cutoff. There are no mile markers or age group awards. Overall top three male and female finishers receive custom awards. Both half marathon and 10K finishers receive a beanie, a finishers pint glass, and a finisher medal; registration by November 1 is required to be guaranteed those items. The organizer does not mail swag. The event has no refunds, transfers, or deferments. Registration opens March 16 at 10:00 AM and closes December 11 at 11:59 PM ET.
