Helen Holiday Half Marathon and 10K : Helen, GA, December 13, 2025
The event offers two trail distances:
- Half marathon (about 13 miles)
- 10K
The race takes place on trail terrain in Helen, Georgia. It is not a road race and there are no mile markers or age-group awards. Distances are described as approximate. All half marathon and 10K finishers receive a beanie, a finishers pint glass, and a medal; registration by November 1 is required to be guaranteed those items. Registration opens March 17, 2025, and closes December 13, 2025.
Course, timing, and rules
The course includes significant climbing and some technical trail sections. Participants will hike in spots; walking is welcome for the 10K and possible for the half if the runner can complete the course within the time limit. There is a strict 6-hour cutoff for the half marathon and no early starts. One aid station for the half is located at approximately mile 8 and will offer water and Gatorade; that aid station has a cutoff. Runners are responsible for following course markings and should be alert at road crossings. No refunds, transfers, or deferments are offered, and swag is not mailed.
