The races use the Duncan Ridge main ridgeline with laps between Vogel State Park and Skeenah Gap. The 200 mile race covers the equivalent of five full laps; outbound routing crosses Wolf Creek and inbound routing uses Forest Service Roads 108 and 107 to Burnett Gap. Only full laps count for race distance. The course is marked. The 200 mile event has no formal entry requirements and runners who cannot continue under their own power may be shuttled back to Vogel.
Minimum progress for the 200 mile race is one full lap per day (40 miles per day) and a final 120 hour limit. The 100 mile and 100 km races use checkpoint cutoffs at specific aid stations; the 100 mile offers additional time options for older runners. The 40 mile and 40 km races have cutoffs at Skeenah Gap and Mulky Gap respectively.
Support is available at Vogel, the Fire Pit, Mulky Gap and Skeenah Gap, and a Dragon Locker may be placed at Fish Gap if accessible. Crew access is allowed with one vehicle per runner; placards are required for Bryant Gap and Mulky Gap access. Crew vehicles will be inspected and large or low-clearance vehicles may be restricted. Parking at the state park is $5 per day or via an annual pass. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
