Hiawassee Half Marathon & 5K
The 2nd Annual Hiawassee Half Marathon & 5K takes place in Hiawassee, Georgia, on 03/13/2027. Both races use Hiawassee Town Square as their start and finish area; the town square is located at 19 S. Main St, Hiawassee, GA 30546.
Both courses are road races that feature views of Lake Chatuge. The half marathon provides a full 360-degree tour around the lake shoreline. The route includes moderately hilly terrain and well-maintained road surfaces. The half marathon has a four hour time limit, which equates to about 18 minutes 20 seconds per mile.

Registration opens on 08/31/2026 and closes on 01/31/2027. Published entry fees are $85 for the half marathon and $35 for the 5K, with higher fees after 01/31/2027. The organizer states no refunds, no transfers, and no deferrals.
