Yorktown Battlefield 10-Mile Run & 5K Run/Walk
Two runs take place at York High School and on the Yorktown Battlefield tour roads. Distances offered:

- 5K
Registration opens July 2, 2026 and closes November 3, 2026; race day sign-up is available. Race day packet pickup and registration are at York High School from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m.
Entry fees are listed by event and include the mandatory National Park Admission Fee (7-Day Pass). A $5 discount applies for students aged 18 and under.
The 10-mile course is USATF certified (VA23002RT) and is an out-and-back route that begins at Surrender Field and reaches the French Loop. The route is entirely on tour roads with scenic views of woods, meadows, fields, and creeks, and is mostly flat with some rolling hills. The course will be closed to traffic during the race and water stops will be provided. Official timing will cease 2 hours and 10 minutes after the start.
Awards are given for male and female top 3 overall, top master, and winners in standard age groups; all 10-mile finishers receive a medal. Pizza and refreshments are provided after the event. The 10-miler is part of the Peninsula Track Club Grand Prix and the Hampton Roads Super Grand Prix. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
