Yorkshire Day Run : Roundhay Park, Leeds
The event offers runs over several distances around Roundhay Park in Leeds and includes a dedicated children’s race. Distances offered include:
- 5k on one lap of the park.
- 10k on two laps of the park.
- Half marathon on just over four laps plus an additional 1.1 km loop.
- 1.5k kids race for younger runners.
The course is on paved park paths and is described as flat; road running shoes are recommended. The route is suitable for buggies and is wheelchair friendly. Course details note that the route may be altered up to event day and that split times will be provided for each lap.
Race entries use chip on bib timing and all entrants receive a high quality medal. Sweets and water are provided at the finish. Marshals will be positioned around the course and participants are asked to keep to the left on public areas unless directed otherwise.
Event logistics include on-the-day race pack collection at registration, limited bag storage next to registration, toilets at the event hub, and parking around the park which may be limited. The event hub is located by the middle bandstand near the Lakeside Cafe and the main house. Official results are published immediately after the event.
