Event Overview
The EvenSplits Leeds 5k is a monthly, chip-timed road race held from February to November at the University of Leeds Brownlee Centre. The event is EA licensed, and results are posted on the Power of 10 platform. Each finisher receives a chocolate bar.
Race Details
The course is a flat, 5 km route consisting of three laps on the road. It is suitable for wheelchairs. The event has an entry limit of 200 participants. Runners receive their mile splits by text shortly after finishing and the full splits are published online the following day.
Registration and Number
First-time entrants are assigned a reusable race number with an embedded timing chip, which can also be used at the EvenSplits York 5k events. This number is collected at registration for the first race. A previously issued RED 5K race number (from 2020-25) can be reused in 2026. One free number replacement is allowed per 12-month period.
Entry Information
Entry fees are £10 for affiliated runners and £12 for unaffiliated runners. Bulk buying options are available in advance. Online entry closes at 10:00 on race day, and entry on the day is not available. Deferrals are permitted only once per calendar year and must be requested at least three days before the race. There are no refunds or transfers to another runner.
Facilities
Available facilities include water stations, distance markers, and toilets. There are no changing facilities, showers, or a baggage store. The Race HQ is the Brownlee Centre on Bodington Playing Fields in Leeds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
