EvenSplits Leeds 5k
The Leeds 5K is a monthly road running event held at the University of Leeds Brownlee Centre. The race takes place on a 5 km course consisting of three laps on a flat, traffic-free circuit at Bodington Playing Fields. This event is part of a series running from February to November, providing a regular opportunity for participants to measure their progress on the same route.
The race is chip-timed and held under an England Athletics license, ensuring results are eligible for inclusion on the Power of 10 rankings. Participants receive their results via text message immediately after crossing the finish line, and detailed mile splits are published the following day. All finishers receive a chocolate bar upon completion of the course.
The event is open to up to 200 participants and is suitable for wheelchair athletes. Runners are assigned a race number with an embedded timing chip during their first entry, which can be reused for other events in the series.
The race headquarters is located at the Brownlee Centre. On-site facilities include toilets, water stations, and distance markers along the course. There are no changing facilities, showers, or baggage storage areas available at the venue. Entry is through advance registration only, as entries on the day are not accepted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
