Event details
The Leeds 5K on 25 November 2026 is a chip-timed, EA-licensed road race held at the University of Leeds Brownlee Centre (Bodington Playing Fields, Bodington Avenue, Leeds LS16 8NA). The course is flat, covers 5 kilometres over three laps, and is suitable for wheelchairs. Results are published on Power of 10, finish-line results are sent by text, and mile splits are published the next day. Participants receive a chocolate bar at the finish.
Logistics and entry
The event is organised by Even Splits and is one of a monthly series held from February to November. Entry is limited to 200 runners; at the time of listing there were 191 places remaining. Online entry closes at 10:00 on race day and there is no entry on the day. Fees are: affiliated single-race entry £10.00, unaffiliated single-race entry £12.00. First-time entrants are issued a race number with an embedded timing chip to collect at Registration; previously issued red 5K race numbers (2020-25) may be reused if recorded on the entry form. One free number replacement is allowed per 12-month period; subsequent replacements cost £4. There are water stations, distance markers and toilets on site, but no changing facilities, showers or baggage store. Deferral to the next race in the calendar year is allowed once if requested at least three days before race day. No refunds or transfers are permitted. Race licence status: applied for.
