Event overview
The Leeds Abbey Dash takes place on Sunday 29 November 2026 and starts on Wellington Street. The event is organised by Run For All after Age UK passed on the event in 2025; Age UK remains the lead partner charity. The race is a 10 km road event and has been selected as the England Athletics 10 km Championship.
Entrants must be 15 years or over on event day. Included for participants are chip timing, a finisher’s goody bag, the option to pre-order a finisher t-shirt and iTAB, and an exclusive finisher medal. Race number information will be released closer to the event day.
Elite entry places are available by application. Qualifying times are female sub 36:00 for 10 km or sub 17:30 for 5 km, and male sub 30:30 for 10 km or sub 14:30 for 5 km. Elite applications close 17 July 2026 and will be reviewed against verified evidence.
On event day there will be water stations providing 330 ml bottles with recycling bins, pacers sponsored by Arla Protein, fixed first aid stations near water points, a first aid unit near the start and finish, and a baggage store with a tear-off strip on the race number. Only bone conducting headphones are permitted. Route maps are available in static, elevation and interactive formats. Travel options include car, bus, rail and air; the nearest bus stops are Boar Lane and Infirmary Street. A JogOn trainer drop-off will be available at the Race Office in the Event Village.
