Yorkshire Coast 5K
The Yorkshire Coast 5K is organised by Run For All and takes place in Scarborough, starting and finishing at the Scarborough SPA. The coastal route runs around South Bay, past the harbour, around the headland into North Bay and returns to the SPA.
Entrants must be 11 years or older on event day. The event welcomes walkers, joggers and runners of different ages and abilities. Race headquarters are at The SPA, Scarborough YO11 2HD. Bag drop is provided in the Ocean Room on the first floor at the back of the SPA; participants should attach the baggage label from their race number.
A water station is positioned between the 4km and 5km marks. Toilets are available at The SPA and along the course. First aid is provided at Race HQ and at points on the route, and a chase vehicle is available for anyone needing help during the race.
What is included with entry: a sustainable slate medal, a tree planted on behalf of the entrant, and an option to purchase a 100 percent recyclable finisher t-shirt. The event provides recycling bins on course and at the event site and operates a trainer drop-off scheme with JogOn for unwanted footwear.
Race numbers are posted to UK addresses in advance or can be collected from the Race Office on the event weekend. Road closures affect the seafront in both South Bay and North Bay. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
