About the race
The Yorkshire Coast 5 km takes place on Sunday 11 October 2026 in Scarborough. The event is organised by Run For All and was previously managed by Scarborough Athletics Club. It starts and finishes at the Scarborough SPA and follows a coastal route around South Bay, past the harbour, around the headland into North Bay and back to the SPA.
Entrants must be 11 years or older on event day. The event encourages walking, jogging or running and aims to be accessible to people of different abilities. Race HQ is at The SPA, Scarborough YO11 2HD. Baggage drop is in the Ocean Room on the first floor at the back of the SPA; participants should attach the baggage label from their race number.
Facilities on course include a water station between the 4 km and 5 km marks, toilets at the SPA and along the route, and first aid at Race HQ and at points on the course. A chase vehicle and marshals are available to assist runners who need help. Race numbers are posted to UK addresses only; overseas participants must collect numbers at the Race Office.
Sustainability features include a sustainable slate medal, a tree planted on behalf of each entrant, recycling bins on course and a trainer drop-off point next to the Race Office. Results are published after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
