Yorkshire Coast 5K
The Yorkshire Coast 5K is a coastal road race organised by Run For All from 2025. The course starts and finishes at Scarborough SPA and follows a loop round South Bay, past the harbour, around the headland into North Bay and back to the SPA. Entry is open to people aged 11 years or older on event day.
Race headquarters are at The SPA, Scarborough YO11 2HD. Bag drop is in the Ocean Room on the first floor at the back of the SPA; entrants should attach the baggage label from their race number to their bag. Race numbers are posted from 8 October where a UK postal address is provided; participants with non UK postal addresses will need to collect numbers from the Race Office on event weekend.
A water station is located between the 4 km and 5 km marks. First aid is available at Race HQ and along the course, with marshals able to summon assistance and a chase vehicle on hand.
Sustainability measures include a sustainable slate medal, a tree planted on behalf of each entrant, recycling bins on course and trainer drop stations for JogOn. There is an option to purchase a 100% recyclable finisher t shirt. Bone conducting headphones may be worn with volume kept low so runners can hear marshals and emergency vehicles.
There is no parking at The SPA; parking is available in nearby public car parks. Road closures affect the seafront in both South Bay and North Bay. Train travel is not possible on the day because of the timetable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
