About the race
The Yorkshire Coast 5K is organised by Run For All in partnership with Scarborough Athletics Club and takes place on Sunday 17 October 2027. The event starts and finishes at Scarborough SPA and follows a short coastal route around South Bay, past the harbour, around the headland and by medieval Scarborough Castle overlooking North Bay.
The race is open to participants aged 11 and older on the day. Included with entry are a finisher medal, chip timing, a goody bag and an optional finisher t shirt. Race numbers are posted to UK addresses prior to the event and can also be collected from the Race Office at the SPA on the event weekend if needed.
Event facilities are centred on the Event Village at the SPA, YO11 2HD, where food and drink will be available for purchase and partner charities will be present. Baggage drop is in the Ocean Room on the first floor and baggage labels are provided on the race number. Toilets are available at the SPA and along the course.
A water station is located between the 4 km and 5 km marks. First aid is available in the Event Village and along the course and a chase vehicle is on hand during the race. There is no parking at the SPA; nearby car parks include Albion Road, Victoria Road, Falconers Road and St Nicholas Parade. Road closures apply along the seafront in both South Bay and North Bay.
