Yorkshire Coast 5K - 11 October 2026
The Yorkshire Coast 5 km is a coastal road event starting and finishing at Scarborough SPA. The route runs around South Bay, past the harbour, round the headland into North Bay and returns to the SPA. From 2025 the event is organised by Run For All; it was previously managed by Scarborough Athletics Club.
Entrants must be 11 years or older on event day. The event welcomes walkers, joggers and runners and offers support for participants who require assistance on the day. Race HQ is located at The SPA, Scarborough YO11 2HD, with baggage drop in the Ocean Room on the first floor at the back of the SPA.
Practical arrangements include race numbers posted from 8 October where a UK address is provided, or collection from the Race Office on event morning from 07:45. Race numbers are not posted to overseas addresses. A water station is placed between the 4 km and 5 km marks. Toilets are available at The SPA and on course. First aid is provided at Race HQ and along the route, and a chase vehicle will be available.
Sustainability measures include on-course recycling bins at the water station, general bins across the event site, a sustainable slate medal for finishers, a tree planted on behalf of each entrant and a voluntary trainer drop-off point for reuse.
