Event Overview
The Yorkshire Coast 5K is a running event held in Scarborough. The event is organized by Run For All. It starts and finishes at the Scarborough Spa.
Route Information
The route is a coastal course. Runners go around South Bay, past the harbour, around the headland into North Bay, and back to the Spa. A water station is located between the 4km and 5km marks.
Participation Details
The minimum age for entry is 11 years old on event day. Runners can walk, jog, or run. The event encourages people of all abilities.
On the Day Information
Race headquarters and the baggage drop are located at the Scarborough Spa. First aid is available at Race HQ and along the course. Toilets are available at The Spa and out on the course. Runners are asked to dispose of litter in provided bins. A chase vehicle is available on the course if needed.
Included with Entry
Participants receive a sustainable slate medal. A tree is planted on behalf of each entrant. There is an option to purchase a 100% recyclable finisher t-shirt.
Sustainability
The event promotes environmental responsibility. Recycling bins are provided at water stations. A partnership with JogOn allows runners to donate old trainers at drop-off stations on event day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
