Hardmoors 15
The Hardmoors 15 takes place on Saturday 9 January 2027 and follows a circular trail of approximately 17.5 miles, starting and finishing at Fylingdales Village Hall in Robin Hood's Bay. The route includes about 1700 feet (518 metres) of ascent and must be completed within an overall time limit of 8 hours. Entry is limited to 150 runners; fees are listed as £48 unattached and £46 attached.
The course passes through three staffed checkpoints: Station Road, Ravenscar (at about 4.5 and 12.5 miles) and Hayburn Wyke (about 8 miles). These checkpoints provide water, food and coke. There are timed cut-offs at checkpoints that runners must meet.
Mandatory kit required for the event includes a hat and gloves, a waterproof jacket with taped seams, a minimum of 500 ml of water or sports drink, a whistle, map and route description, a survival bag, a foil blanket, a mobile phone, a cup for aid stations and safety pins or clips to attach the race bib. Dogs are not allowed at this event.
On finishing, participants receive a race medal and a Hardmoors tech T-shirt. Prizes are presented after the majority of runners have finished; trophies can be collected before the presentation if necessary.
