Dalby Forest Wild Winter Trail Runs 2026
Dalby Forest Wild Winter Trail Runs take place on 29 November 2026 at Dalby Forest, Low Dalby, Thornton le Dale, Pickering, North Yorkshire. The event is held at Adderstone Field, a few miles past the visitor centre in the centre of the forest.
Distances include:
- Marathon 26.2 miles, two laps of the half marathon route, cut-off time six hours.
- Half Marathon 13.1 miles, single loop through forest trails.
- 10km 6.2 miles, shorter winter trail option.
Routes mainly follow forest fire roads and provide views across the North York Moors. Route maps are provided for the 10km and half marathon courses. The marathon uses two laps of the half marathon route.
The event is canicross friendly with one well controlled dog per runner; dogs must remain on a lead at all times. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North and results are issued on completion. All finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and snacks and drinks.
Subsidised parking is available at four pounds per vehicle, with payment made after the event at Forestry England pay machines. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
