Dalby Forest Wild Winter Trail Runs 2026

Dalby Forest Winter Trail Runs take place on Sunday 29 November 2026 at Adderstone Field in Dalby Forest, Low Dalby, Thornton le Dale, Pickering, North Yorkshire YO18 7LT. The event offers three distances and uses trails within the forest venue.

  • Marathon: 26.2 miles, two laps of the Half Marathon route, cut off time 6 hours
  • Half Marathon: 13.1 miles, single loop on forest trails
  • 10km: 6.2 miles, shorter winter trail option

Routes mainly follow forest fire roads and provide views across the North York Moors. Route maps are available for the 10km and Half Marathon and the Marathon uses two laps of the Half Marathon route.

Dalby Forest is a Forestry England site on the southern slopes of the North York Moors with over 8,500 acres of woodland and a network of trails for running, walking and cycling. The event is canicross friendly with one well controlled dog permitted per runner and dogs required to remain on a lead at all times.

Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North and finish results are recorded electronically. All finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise and snacks and drinks. Subsidised parking is available at £4 per vehicle with payment made at Forestry England pay machines after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
