34th Annual YMCA Turkey Trot
The 34th Annual YMCA Turkey Trot is a community running event held in Fredericksburg, Virginia on November 25 and 26, 2026. The event program includes multiple races for different ages and abilities, with the main activities centered near James Monroe High School at 2300 Washington Avenue.
Available races:
- 5K Run
- 1 Mile Kids Run
- Wheelchair 5K
- Tot Trot (1/4 Mile)
All finishers in the Tot Trot, 1 Mile and 5K receive a medal. The 5K awards overall prizes to the top five male and female finishers and age group awards for a range of age divisions. Overall winners are determined by gun time and age group results are based on chip time. Packet pickup is located at James Monroe High School and there will be no race day packet pickup in 2026.
Race services and rules described for participants include one water station on the 5K course, restrooms at James Monroe High School, porta potties in the school parking lot, and no porta potties on course. Dogs are not permitted on the race course. Strollers are allowed but should start in the back of the starting wave. Proceeds support Rappahannock Area YMCA programs.
