Lake Anna Turkey Trot 5K, 10K, & Half
The event on November 27 is held at Lake Anna State Park in Spotsylvania, VA. It offers three distances with mixed terrain and chip timing.
- 5K: out-and-back on a technical trail.
- 10K: roughly half trail then half paved road.
- Half: roughly 50% trail and 50% paved, out-and-back twice; half has a 3:15 completion time limit.
Points scored at this event count toward the 5K, 10K, Endurance and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Fall Series. Walkers are welcome. A virtual race option is available for those not on site.
Registered runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed before November 16; sizes for race day registrants cannot be guaranteed. Race day registration and packet pickup are available at the venue. Registration fees increase by five dollars on race morning.
Course support includes water stations at multiple mile markers: 13 on the half, 5 on the 10K, and 1 on the 5K; some stations will offer Gatorade. Live results are posted online and a QR code will be available at the race for immediate result viewing. Awards are presented to the top three men and women overall and to age group placings.
