Event Overview
The Turkey Trot is a seasonal running event held at Marine Corps Base Quantico. The course takes participants along tree-lined roadways through the military installation. Organized by the Marine Corps Marathon Organization, the event offers two distinct distances:
- 10 km
- 1 mile
The 10 km race is open to participants aged 10 years or older. Runners in this distance must be able to maintain a pace of at least 20 minutes per mile. The 1 mile distance is open to participants of all ages.
All finishers receive a unique medal and a participant shirt. The event also serves as the final tier in the Distinguished Participant program, a series of five events held throughout the year including the Marine Corps 17.75K, the Historic Half, the Quantico 12K, and the Marine Corps Marathon. Completion of these specific live events qualifies runners for an additional exclusive medal.
Registration options include discounted rates for military members and early bird pricing. The event does not permit registration transfers or deferrals to future years. All registrations are considered final, though a protection plan is available at the time of purchase for certain unforeseen circumstances.
