Turkey Trot 10K - Quantico
The Turkey Trot is a race on Marine Corps Base Quantico that offers two distances:
- 10 km
- 1 mile
The event is sponsored by Tour Stafford VA. Participants in the 10 km must be at least 10 years old and able to maintain a 20 minute per mile pace. The 1 mile distance is open to all ages. All participants can earn a finisher medal and a shirt.
Race-day logistics note a specific start area on Catlin Avenue alongside Lejeune Hall. Two water points are located along the 10 km course: WP 1 at Mile 1.6 by the former Marine Federal Credit Union building, and WP 2 at Mile 4.5 at Barnett Avenue in front of G-3 Supply. Baggage must be stored in the clear plastic bag provided at Packet Pick-up, checked at the Baggage Area on event day, and retrieved at the same location after finishing.
Awards are given to overall, Masters, Grand Masters and age category winners; award recipients receive a Wegmans gift card and must pick awards up in person at the event. Finisher certificates and official results are available online through the results page or a participant Haku account. Registrations for the event are final; transfers are not permitted. Refundable registration options and protection through TEAK are described in the registration materials and include documentation and timing requirements. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
