2026 FredVegas Turkey Trot 5k, 10k, & 1M
The event offers multiple distances and counts points toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, Kids, and Back of the Pack series. Points also apply to the Fall Series. The course is based at Old Mill Park in Fredericksburg and runs alongside the Rappahannock River on a paved path with a few small hills. The 5k is an out-and-back route and the 10k completes the 5k course twice. Walkers and strollers are welcome. A virtual race option is available for participants who cannot attend in person.
Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical Drifit event shirt, and chip timing. Packet pickup is available at the event; participants are advised to arrive approximately one hour before their event. Race day registration is offered but T-shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for late registrations. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before November 16; extra shirts may be available afterward on a first come first served basis.
Water stations are placed along the courses: two on the 5k at about miles 1 and 2.1, and five on the 10k at approximately miles 1, 2.1, 3.1, 4.1, and 5.2; Gatorade is available at some stations. Live results will be posted on Athlinks and final results with series points are posted the Monday following the race.
The event benefits the Old Dominion Humane Society, which focuses on reducing unnecessary euthanasia and supporting animal rescue efforts. Banditing is not allowed and violators may face removal or disqualification. The organizer operates as an all weather race company and may delay or cancel the event if conditions require.
