FredVegas Turkey Trot 2026
The event runs at Old Mill Park in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and offers multiple course options along the Rappahannock River on a paved path with a few small hills. Points earned at the event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, Kids, and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Fall Series.
Distances
- 1 Mile Kids race
- 5 km out-and-back along the river
- 10 km two laps of the 5k course
A virtual race option is available for participants who cannot attend in person. Walkers and strollers are allowed on course.
Participants receive a finisher’s medal, a technical drifit event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for runners registered before November 16; extra shirts may be available afterward on a first-come, first-served basis.
The event benefits Old Dominion Humane Society; the listed goal is to reduce unnecessary euthanasia by pulling dogs from high-kill shelters and educating the community about animal rescue.
Water stations are placed along the courses: five stations approximately on the 10k route and two on the 5k route, with Gatorade available at some stations. Restrooms are located near the park parking area. Packet pickup is available at the event, and race day registration is offered though shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for those registrants.
Live results are posted on Athlinks with a race QR code for immediate access; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. The organizer runs the event in most weather conditions but may delay or cancel for safety; registered participants are notified of changes.
