YMCA of Barry County Turkey Trot
The YMCA of Barry County Turkey Trot is scheduled for November 26, 2026 and takes place at the YMCA of Barry County and nearby YMCA Camp Algonquin. The event includes a timed 5K run/walk and a separate family friendly 1 Mile Fun Run along local roads and trails.

Registration options include an early bird period, a regular period, and a late registration window. Registrations by November 18 include a Turkey Trot t-shirt; late registrants will not receive a shirt. Fee tiers for the 5K are listed by age and registration date, with lower rates for youth 17 and under.
Prizes and activities include a turkey award for the top adult male and female 5K finishers, a dozen donuts for top youth finishers, and a best dressed prize with a finish line photo. A School Challenge recognizes the school with the highest participation rate and a trophy is presented the week after Thanksgiving. Participants are encouraged to bring non perishable food donations for the Barry County United Way. After the finish, refreshments such as hot cocoa and water are available on the front lawn at YMCA Camp Algonquin.
Parking is available at ALCA Lodge and the New Y Building. No public parking is available at YMCA Camp Algonquin. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
