Maple Syrup 5k Run/Walk in Vermontville
The Maple Syrup 5k Run/Walk is the 14th annual edition of a community 5-kilometer event held in Vermontville during the April 18 to April 25, 2026 date range. The Maple Valley High School Cross Country team offers two participation options: an in-person event and a virtual event. The in-person course is a one-way route that starts at Maple Valley High School (11090 Nashville Highway, Vermontville, MI 49096) and finishes in downtown Vermontville. The course is partly on pavement and partly on the Paul Henry Thornapple Trail. The course will be open, with volunteers positioned at intersections to assist participants.
Packet pick up and in-person registration take place outside the Maple Valley High School Administration Building on the day before and the day of the in-person event. Online registration is listed at $30, and on-site registration at packet pick up is noted as $35. All in-person participants receive a t-shirt, a commemorative sticker, a small syrup gift, and a gear bag that can be transported to the finish. Virtual participants who register by April 15, 2025 are eligible to receive a t-shirt and sticker shipped after the event; mailed items apply only to those registered as virtual.
Age group awards are offered for in-person participants across standard gender and age categories; overall winners of each gender receive a gallon of maple syrup.
