The Winter Trail Fest (WTF) Westside is a winter trail race on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Yankee Springs Recreation Area - Deep Lake Campground, 2526 S Yankee Springs Rd, Middleville, MI 49333. The event offers multiple race options, including:
- Half Marathon
- 5 Mile
- Half Marathon Ruck
- 5 Mile Ruck
- Virtual Half Marathon and Virtual 5 Mile
The course description notes winter trail conditions such as snow, slush, ice, or mud. The half marathon includes rolling hills and rugged singletrack; the 5 Mile is described as a shorter trail option. A river crossing is part of the course, with an alternate route that adds 0.25 miles to avoid the crossing.
Logistics and entry
Race registration includes a custom race hoodie, a finisher's medal for Half Marathon and 5 Mile, chip timing with live results, free race-day photos, post-race food and drinks, and age-group awards. A no-frills economy registration option is available that reduces included swag.
The event has a refund and transfer policy: no refunds within 30 days of the event; earlier requests may be eligible for a 50% refund of the entry fee (processing fees excluded). Entries cannot be deferred to another event or year. Entries may be transferred to another individual for a $5 transfer fee.
