Event Overview
This is the 30th annual edition of the YMCA Livestrong 5K Walk/Run. The event takes place in Roosevelt Park, Edison, New Jersey, with the specific location at Lakeview School. It is a fundraiser for the Livestrong at the YMCA program, which supports cancer survivors at no cost to them. The event date is Sunday, April 19, 2026.
Schedule and Activities
On the day of the event, registration opens at 7:30 AM. At that time, participants can listen to music, join a Zumba warmup, and have pre-race snacks. The race starts with a "Shot Gun Start" at 8:30 AM, with runners starting first, followed by walkers.
Awards and Registration
Finisher medals are awarded to the top three overall male, female, and binary participants. Age group awards are also given to the top three male and female participants in 10-year age groups, starting from 1-9 years old up to 70+. Registration is open to ages 1 to 150, with a standard price of $30 and a reduced rate of $20 for ages 1 to 12. The registration price increases after February 28, 2026.
Charitable Purpose
