Girls on the Run 5K Somerville Presented by The Waldele Family Foundation
Girls on the Run of Central NJ holds a community 5K in Somerville, New Jersey, on May 31, 2026. The course starts at Grove and E. High Street and registration is located on the Somerset County Courthouse lawn. The event marks the program's 25th anniversary and organizers request a $25 donation with registration to support the scholarship fund.
Registration opens March 29, 2026. Registration fees are non refundable and non transferable. Early registration through April 27 is $30; rates increase to $35 from April 28 to May 15, $40 from May 16 to May 27 at noon, and $45 on race day. Chip timing is provided by Tristate Timing. There are water stops on course and at the finish, and post race refreshments are provided for runners only.
The event promotes a scholarship program called SoleMates; proceeds from SoleMates are used to provide scholarships for girls in low income areas so they can participate in the Girls on the Run program.
