Races and rules
Races include duathlons and trail runs with the following courses:
- Full Duathlon: Run 6K - Bike 20K - Run 3K
- Sprint Duathlon: Run 3K - Bike 10K - Run 1.5K
- Trail Half Marathon: 21K
- 14K Trail Run: 14K (from 16 years old)
- 7K Trail Run: 7K (from 16 years old)
The full distance duathlon accepts individual and team entries; the sprint duathlon is individual. The event is run under British Triathlon rules, and gravel or cyclocross bikes are not permitted for the duathlon. XTERRA Matterley is listed as an XTERRA Pass event and can be used to qualify for the XTERRA Trail Run World Championship. The organiser reserves the right to amend routes or formats for safety or quality reasons. A 48-hour cooling-off period applies for refunds, with a £10 admin fee deducted if withdrawn within that period.
