Overton 5, 6 September 2026
The Overton 5 returns for its 37th edition on 6 September 2026 as the second fixture in the Hampshire Road Race League. The event is a 5 mile road race on an undulating course that uses road and pavement and is largely on closed roads.
The route runs through country roads around Overton and features rolling hills and sweeping views; the description notes scenery once loved by Jane Austen. The race operates under UK Athletics Rules with UKA licence number 31291.
Entries are limited to 600 participants and entries close on 04/09/2026. The minimum age for entry is 15 years. There is no provision for deferrals or refunds. Race numbers must be collected on race day from race headquarters. Competitors can receive an official chip time via SMS if they provide a mobile number and consent.
The event states a focus on reducing waste and being environmentally friendly. Finishers receive a unique memento. The wearing of headphones is not permitted except when medically prescribed.
