Event Overview
The Wyoming Valley Run is a point-to-point road race taking place in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The course spans a distance of 10 miles and connects the cities of Pittston and Wilkes-Barre. The event is designed to be inclusive, offering categories for runners, walkers, and hand-cyclists. A virtual participation option is also available for those unable to attend the in-person event.
Course Details
The route begins in downtown Pittston and involves crossing the Susquehanna River into West Pittston. Participants then follow a direct path down Wyoming Avenue, passing through the municipalities of Exeter, Wyoming, Forty Fort, and Kingston. The race concludes by crossing the Market Street Bridge and finishing at Public Square in downtown Wilkes-Barre. The course is noted for its flat topography and views of the valley.

- 10 Mile Run: A timed road race for runners.
- 10 Mile Walk: A dedicated walking category on the same course.
- 10 Mile Hand Cycle: A category specifically for wheelchair and hand-cycle participants.

Competition and Prizes
A total prize pool of $10,000 is distributed across various categories. Awards are provided for the top five overall male and female finishers, as well as for masters and hand-cycle divisions. Local participants from Luzerne County are eligible for specific local awards. There is also a Team Challenge where teams of at least three members compete based on the combined times of their three fastest participants.
