Boulder Field 100 - Hickory Run State Park, Jim Thorpe, PA
The event offers three route options within Hickory Run State Park near Sand Spring Lake: a 100 km ultra, a 50 km ultra, and an 18 mile run or hike. The 50 km course is laid out as a figure eight loop; the 100 km is two laps of that loop. Registration closes on Mon, Sep 7 at 11:59 PM ET.
Course terrain is mostly single track and some wider multi-use trails, with about one mile of gravel road. Elevation is estimated at about 4000 ft per 50 km loop and the route includes a boulder field crossing and a rugged section called the Shades of Death Trail, each near one mile in length. Time limits are stated as 16 hours for the 100 km and 14 hours for the 50 km.
Aid stations are placed at approximate mile markers and supply water and Gatorade; runners are advised to carry at least 16 oz of fluid between stations. All aid stations are staffed.

All finishers will receive a finisher award. Awards are given to the top three overall and to the top five in age groups 18-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 plus. Bib pickup is at the pavilion next to Sand Spring Lake with specified pickup windows prior to race day.
