Boulder Field 100
Boulder Field 100 is a trail running event held at Hickory Run State Park, Sand Spring Lake near Jim Thorpe, PA. It offers multiple distances and a course that stays entirely inside the state park.

The course is a figure-8 shaped 50K loop; 100K entries run the loop twice. About 90% of the route is single-track and wider multi-use trails, with roughly 1 mile of gravel road. Elevation is estimated at about 4,000 ft per 50K loop. Notable sections include a boulder field crossing of less than 1 mile and the Shades of Death Trail, a rugged roughly 1 mile section.
Time limits are 16 hours for the 100K and 14 hours for the 50K. Aid stations are placed at approximate mile markers and include water and Gatorade; runners are recommended to carry at least 16 oz of fluid between stations. Aid stations provide snacks and are staffed by experienced ultra runners.
Bib pickup is at the pavilion next to Sand Spring Lake, Hickory Run State Park (approximate address Pavillion Rd, Albrightsville, PA 18210) on Fri Sept 11 and Sat Sept 12 during posted pickup windows. Refunds are available until 8/15 with a stamped self-addressed envelope minus a $10 fee; after 8/15 entries are final unless a waiting list exists. All finishers receive an award and top finishers and age-group placings are recognized. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
