Boulder Field 100 : Jim Thorpe, PA
The event offers three distance options at Hickory Run State Park near Sand Spring Lake in Jim Thorpe, PA. Distances are run on a figure eight 50 km loop; 100 km competitors run the loop twice.

The course runs almost entirely on trails, with about 90% single track and roughly one mile of gravel road. Elevation is estimated at about 4000 ft per 50 km loop. Notable trail features include a boulder field crossing and a rugged section called the Shades of Death Trail of about one mile. Some trail sections are very difficult relative to the rest of the course.
Time limits are set by distance: the 100 km has a 16 hour limit and the 50 km has a 14 hour limit. Aid stations are located at approximate mile markers and include stations at miles 5, 10, 12, 19, 25.5 for both 50K and 100K, with additional stations on the 100K loop. Gatorade and water are provided; snacks and carbohydrate options are available. Runners are advised to carry at least 16 ounces of fluid between aid stations and to bring any personal nutrition they prefer.
Bib pickup takes place at the pavilion next to Sand Spring Lake at Hickory Run State Park. A finisher award is planned for all finishers and prizes are listed for overall and age group placings. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
