Event overview
The Wye Valley Tunnel Run takes place on Sunday 19th July 2026 at Wyedean School, Beachley Road, Sedbury, Chepstow, NP16 7AA. The event is set on the Wye Valley Greenway and follows restored railway paths, including the 1.1 km Tidenham Tunnel. Routes use compact stone path and tarmac and are described as predominantly flat with some uneven sections and short rocky or stepped sections on the Tintern routes. On-site parking is available for a £2 fee and the nearest train station is Chepstow, about 1 mile away.

The 10 km and Valley View half are out-and-back on old railway line with tree shading; the 10 km includes about 2 km in tunnel and the Valley View half includes 4 km in tunnel. The Tintern Station half and marathon extend beyond the Valley View route, include riverside trails and short rocky or stepped sections; the Tintern half has 2 km in tunnel and the Tintern marathon 4 km in tunnel. There is a 3 hour cut off to start lap 2 of the marathon. Facilities include toilets, a mobile coffee van and a bag drop. The event is not open to canicross runners; buggy runners are allowed on the 10 km and Valley View half but not on the Tintern half or marathon. Medals are provided for finishers of 5 km and longer.
