WXT Ultra is a trail event based at Washington Crossing Park in Titusville, New Jersey. The start and finish are near the Camp Grounds and the soccer fields off Bear Tavern Road this year due to Visitor Center construction. The course uses park trails, short road sections, and nearby state-side trails.
The 25K route is mostly single track and begins with a shared 7.5 mile section inside Washington Crossing Park. The 50K follows the same initial 7.5 miles, then crosses Church Road into the state side of BaldPate and connects to Pleasant Valley Road. From Pleasant Valley Road the route passes around Howell Living Farm via Valley Road, then follows the Dry Run Creek Trail to the Rock Hopper trail and its aid station at State Route 518. Rock Hopper is the most technical section of the course.
The Rock Hopper section is run out-and-back, entering on Blue, crossing the creek, joining Red toward Orange, crossing power lines, turning at the road, and returning the same way. After exiting Rock Hopper and crossing back over Route 518, runners return to Washington Crossing Park along the inbound route.
Aid stations are located near the Nature Center in Washington Crossing Park, near the Pleasant Valley Road lot in BaldPate, and at the Rock Hopper trailhead on Route 518. The 50K has time cut-offs: four hours to reach Rock Hopper and 2 hours 45 minutes to exit Rock Hopper. Entry fees are listed in a range in US dollars.
