WXT Ultra
WXT Ultra is a trail event in Titusville, NJ with two distance options.
- 50K
- 25K
The race starts and finishes in Washington Crossing Park. For this edition the start and finish are near the camp grounds and the soccer fields off Bear Tavern Rd because the Visitor Center is under construction.
The 25K follows mostly single track and includes about 7.5 miles inside Washington Crossing Park with short road sections.
The 50K begins with the same 7.5 miles as the 25K then crosses Church Road into the state side of BaldPate to connect to Pleasant Valley Rd. From there the route goes around Howell Living Farm via Valley Rd to the Dry Run Creek Trail, which leads to the Rock Hopper trail and an aid station. Participants cross RT. 518 to access the Rock Hopper trail head. Rock Hopper is the most technical section of the course.
This year Rock Hopper is run as an out and back that enters on Blue, crosses the creek, picks up Red then Orange, crosses the power lines, turns around at the road, and returns the same way. After exiting Rock Hopper and crossing back over RT. 518 the route returns to Washington Crossing along the outbound path.
Aid stations are located near the Nature Center in Washington Crossing Park, near the Pleasant Valley Rd lot in BaldPate, and at the Rock Hopper trail head on RT. 518. Cut offs require reaching Rock Hopper within four hours and leaving Rock Hopper within 2 hours 45 minutes. Proceeds benefit the Washington Crossing Park Association. Nearby hotels include Courtyard by Marriott Ewing Princeton and SpringHill Suites by Marriott Ewing Princeton South. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
