WXT Ultra
WXT Ultra is a trail event in Titusville, NJ that offers two distance options and uses Washington Crossing Park for its start and finish. The start and finish are located near the camp grounds and the soccer fields off Bear Tavern Road due to Visitor Center construction.
Course details:
- 50K
- 25K
The 25K+ course is mostly single-track and includes a roughly 7.5 mile section inside Washington Crossing Park plus short road segments. The 50K begins with the same 7.5 mile section, then crosses Church Road into the state side of Baldpate to connect to Pleasant Valley Road. From Pleasant Valley Road the route passes around Howell Living Farm via Valley Road to the Dry Run Creek Trail, then onto the Rock Hopper trail and the aid station where participants cross Route 518 to access the Rock Hopper trail head.
Rock Hopper is described as the most technical section. The route uses an out-and-back on several colored trails, including Blue, Red, and Orange, with a creek crossing and a power-line crossing before returning the same way. Aid stations are located near the Nature Center in Washington Crossing Park, at the Pleasant Valley Road lot in Baldpate, and at the Rock Hopper trail head on Route 518.
50K cut-offs are specified as reaching Rock Hopper within four hours and a final cut-off from Rock Hopper of two hours and forty-five minutes. Proceeds benefit the Washington Crossing Park Association. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
