Mercer County Turkey Trot
The 14th annual Mercer County Turkey Trot takes place on Thanksgiving Day rain or shine. The event comprises a 5K race and a 1 mile walk/fun run, and net proceeds are donated to local food banks and pantries under the oversight of a local race committee.
Distances and event format:
- 5K Run - certified by USA Track & Field, paved course, staged by approximate run times.
- 1 Mile Walk/Fun Run - follows part of the 5K course, no timing chip is used.
The 5K is open to runners, families, and strollers; dogs are not allowed. The event will place faster runners toward the front and stage participants by expected run times. Winners receive certificates for the fastest overall male, female, and non-binary runners, plus first through third place in each age group. T-shirts are available for the first 1,000 registrants with limited sizes, and medals are available for the first 750 finishers. Packet pick-up is offered in advance at McCaffrey's in West Windsor in the Bistro area upstairs on November 22 and November 24. Teams with more than 10 members receive a three dollar reduction in registration per team member. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
