Mercer County Turkey Trot
The Mercer County Turkey Trot takes place on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, at Mercer County Park in West Windsor, New Jersey. The event will run rain or shine and is the 14th annual edition organized by a local race committee. Net proceeds are donated to local food banks and pantries.
Event distances include:
- 5K race
- 1 Mile Walk/Fun Run
The 5K course is certified by USA Track & Field and is on paved surfaces. The 5K is open to runners, families, and strollers; dogs are not allowed. Runners will be staged by approximate run times, with faster runners placed toward the front. The 1 Mile Walk/Fun Run follows part of the 5K course, is open to runners, families, and strollers, and does not use timing chips so no official time is recorded for the fun run.
Awards include winner certificates for the fastest overall male, female, and non-binary finishers, plus first, second, and third place in each age group. Event shirts are available for the first 1,000 registrants in limited sizes, and medals are available for the first 750 finishers.
Packet pick-up is offered in advance on Sunday, November 22 and Tuesday, November 24 at McCaffrey’s in West Windsor (Bistro, upstairs). Packet pick-up is also available on race day at the pavilion in the West Picnic Area. Team entries with more than 10 members receive a $3 registration discount per team member.
