About the race
The Lambertville - New Hope Two Town Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving morning running and walking event that raises funds for local chamber programs and community charities. The event includes a timed 5-kilometer race and a 1 mile health walk, with electronic chip timing for runners. Proceeds and collected non-perishable food items support a local nonprofit that serves the Delaware River towns and a scholarship fund established in honor of a longtime community supporter.
The route starts and ends in downtown Lambertville, crosses the historic Lambertville-New Hope Bridge, continues through downtown New Hope, returns across the bridge, and passes through Lambertville’s historic downtown business district. Participants who pre-register are eligible for a commemorative race shirt; shirts are reserved for pre-registered participants and then distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Prizes will be awarded to winners.
Registration details in the event materials indicate an early online fee of $40 and a higher fee for day-of registration. Early bib pick-up is scheduled the evening before the event at a local brewery location in Lambertville. The event will proceed in varied weather conditions. Participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for donation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
