Wulfman's CDT-14K Trail Race
Wulfman's CDT-14K Trail Race takes place on June 20, 2026, near Butte, Montana, at Homestake Exit #233 off I-90. The course follows a fourteen kilometer (8.7 mile) completed section of the Continental Divide Trail between Pipestone Pass and Homestake Pass in Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest. The route is single-track and passes rock formations and scenic vistas.
The race uses a time-trial start to avoid congestion on the single-track section. Two registration options are offered for the same distance: a standard entry with a registration fee of $40 and a Golden Charity entry with a fee of $100. Golden Charity entries include front of the line privileges at porta-potties and at the picnic line, premier parking, a complimentary race shirt, and other tokens of appreciation; there are ten Golden Charity slots. Registration opens January 1, 2026 and closes June 17, 2026.
Proceeds are donated to trail building, maintenance, and improvement in southwest Montana and to local youth running programs. As of December 31, 2025 contributions total $18,954 for trail related support, $3,975 for local emergency search and rescue, and $9,650 for youth running programs.
The event is scheduled near the Summer Solstice and commemorates a local trail proponent. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
