February Freeze
February Freeze is a club road race held at Buffalo Springs Lake Amphitheater in Lubbock County, Texas on February 14th, 2026. The event has been staged annually since 2015 and offers two measured running distances.

Entry fees and registration rules are published by the club. Reported fees for 2026 include a gate fee of $5, an $8 fee for club members and non-member children aged 7–12 in the 2 Mile, and $20 for non-members for either distance. Registration opens January 10th, 2026. There is no race day registration and no refunds. Bib pickup is handled on race day at the lake.
Age and equipment policies are specified: the 2 Mile is open to participants age 7 and older, the 5 Mile requires age 13 and older, and stroller use requires participants age 18 or older. Strollers are allowed in both races. No race shirt is offered for this event.
The club maintains age-group and course records for both distances, with course records noted in the results. Recent finisher totals reported for February Freeze include 202 in 2025, 188 in 2024, and 186 in 2023. Photo galleries and video from previous years are available for review.
