Hugh Haynes Memorial (HSB) Run
The Hugh Haynes Memorial Run is a recurring running event held in May at Horseshoe Bend Canyon, 11301 Gentry Ln, Slaton, Texas. The event has been held since 1973 and offers multiple race distances and historical race results and photo galleries.

The scheduled date for the listed edition is May 9, 2026. Bib pick-up is available on race day only. No race shirt is provided. Race day registration is limited and refunds are not offered.
Entry fees are published for specific categories: $8 for West Texas Running Club members and for nonmember children aged 7 to 12 when entered in the 2 mile event; $20 for nonmembers for all distances.
Age minimums apply for each distance: participants must be at least 7 years old for the 2 mile run/walk, 13 years old for the 6 mile run, and 16 years old for the 11 mile run. Strollers are permitted only in the 2 mile and 6 mile events for participants aged 18 and older. Pets are not allowed on the course.
