WS10 Bungarribee
WS10 is a monthly running event offering a 10 km course at Bungarribee in the Western Sydney Parklands. The event takes place on the third Sunday of every month and Bungarribee is one of three locations used around Western Sydney. Listed dates include 18 January marked as cancelled, 19 April, 19 July and 18 October.
The course starts adjacent to the Bung Shelter, near the main carpark for Bungarribee Park and the Warrigal dog run, at the same starting point used by Rooty Hill parkrun. Vehicle access to Bungarribee Park is via the intersection of Doonside Road and Holbeche Road.
There is ample car parking and places to secure a bicycle, though participants should bring their own lock. Public toilet facilities are about 200 m from the start and a drinking fountain with a dog bowl is at the start point.
The route is mostly on sealed concrete and bitumen tracks but includes two gravel sections and a dirt section that can become muddy after rain. The layout is a large looping out and back course, with no point on the route more than about 1.5 km from the start point.
Participation requires registration on the event site. Returning registrants remain registered and new runners complete the online registration and confirm via the emailed link. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
