Blue Mountains Max Adventure Race
The Blue Mountains Max Adventure Race is the Blue Mountains leg of the Max Adventure Race Series and is scheduled for October 10, 2026 in Glenbrook, NSW. The event is a multisport team race with trail running and hiking, mountain biking, kayaking and on-course navigation. Teams consist of two people and competition categories include male, female and mixed teams.
Courses are offered in Classic and Novice formats. The Classic course typically takes most teams four to six hours to complete. The Novice course generally takes two to four hours.
The race uses single track mountain bike trails and includes paddling on the Nepean River. Specific route features can include sections through Glenbrook Gorge and areas with Aboriginal hand prints and stencils. The Start/Finish is at Euroka Clearing, which has wide picnic areas and local wildlife such as kangaroos. The Glenbrook location is a short drive from Sydney via the end of the M4 motorway.
