Wrekin Streak

The Wrekin Streak takes place on Wed 15 Apr 2026 in Forest Glen, Wellington, Telford, Shropshire. The course covers 4.5 km (2.8 miles) and includes 247 m (810 ft) of climb. The event holds a permit and associated UK Athletics insurance from the FRA and is listed in category AS.

Parking and registration are in a signed field at the venue and there is no charge for those facilities. Additional parking is available in the Forest Glen car park for a fee, or free parking at the end of Ercall Lane. Participants are asked to park considerately in nearby residential areas. There are no toilets at the registration field and no pins are provided.

Entry is available both by pre-entry and on the day. Pre-entry fee is £7.00 and on the day entry is £10.00. Teams are not allowed.

Junior races are provided and will start at least 30 minutes before the senior race. Minimum age is 12, but this may be subject to organiser discretion because of age group changes. This event is the first race in the Shropshire Summer Series and entry updates will be shared on the Shropshire Fell Running Facebook page.
