Jingle Hells

Jingle Hells is a provisional fell race based at the Scout Hut in Rectory Field, Church Stretton (SO452938). The advertised distance is 10 km (6.2 mi) with a total climb of 1056 m (3465 ft). The route was planned with National Trust approval to avoid environmentally sensitive areas and runners must keep to the described course.

The event carries an AS safety note indicating local knowledge is beneficial and experience is required. The organisers describe the route as short but steep with a large amount of ascent; the final third of the course is particularly demanding. Checkpoints and cut-off times are strictly enforced; runners who do not meet them will be asked to retire. There is a specific cut-off of 1 hr 30 min to the top of Grindle to limit marshal time on the hills in winter conditions.

Minimum entry age is over 18. Parking is directed to the main car park by the Co-op (SO454936) or sensible town parking; competitors are asked to park responsibly. Entry fees are stated as £8.00 pre-entry or £10.00 on the day and online entry is available. The event is insured by the FRA. The date for the event is provisional.
