Jingle Hells is a marked fell race of approximately 10 km (6.38 miles) with a total ascent of 1056 m. The event centre is the Scout Hut in Rectory Field (SO452938) and the start and finish are at Rectory Field. The course includes multiple checkpoint dib points and is fully described and marked on the day; there is a cut off of 1 hour 45 minutes to the top of Grindle.
Entries are accepted via SI Entries or on the day. Entry fee is £8.00 for pre-entry and £10.00 on the day. Entries open 12/10/25.
The race is run under FRA rules and competitors must comply with FRA safety requirements. Mandatory kit includes waterproof top and bottoms, hat, gloves, emergency food, map, compass and whistle. Competitors will be kit checked and must wear their number on the chest. An SI dibber will be issued and must be used at each checkpoint; failure to meet kit or checkpoint requirements may result in disqualification or other disciplinary action.
The route is steep with significant ascent and a demanding final third and is described to stay clear of environmentally sensitive areas. Car parking is available at the main Co-op car park (SO454936) and toilets are available at the Co-op car park or the Scout Hut.
