Jingle Hells
Jingle Hells is a fell race held on Sunday 20 December 2026. The course is approximately 10 km (6.38 miles) with a total ascent of 1056 m and is categorised AM. The route is fully marked and starts and finishes at Rectory Field with the event centre at the Scout Hut in Church Stretton (grid SO452938).
Entry is available by pre-entry or on the day. Pre-entry fee is £8.00 and on-the-day entry is £10.00. Pre-entry is via SI Entries; on-day registration is at the Scout Hut. Entries open 12/10/25. Parking is offered in the main car park by the Co-op (SO454936) or sensibly in town.
The race is run under FRA rules and competitors must carry specified safety kit. Required equipment includes waterproof top and bottoms, hat, gloves, emergency food, map, compass and whistle; kit checks will be carried out and failure to carry mandatory items can lead to disqualification. Numbers must be worn on the chest and an SI dibber will be issued and must be used at each checkpoint. There is a strict cut off of 1 hr 45 mins to the top of Grindle. Retirement must be reported at the finish and the race number and dibber surrendered to an official.
The route avoids environmentally sensitive areas with National Trust approval and several dib points and checkpoints are listed for navigation and safety. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
