The Pied Piper Christmas Run
The Pied Piper Christmas Run is a festive athletic event held in Telford, organized by How Hard Can It Be Events. The event takes place at The Unicorn Inn in Little Dawley. Participants can choose from three distinct distances across a route that features a looped format.
Available distances include:
- 8 miles
- 16 miles
- Marathon
The marathon course consists of three loops and includes a notable hill section that runners encounter on each lap. The route is marked for navigation, and aid stations are positioned to provide support along the way.
Participants who complete their chosen distance receive a medal. Finishers are also provided with refreshments including cake and pies. The event serves as a joint celebration for Christmas and a community birthday.
The venue is located on Holly Road, and designated parking is situated approximately a four-minute walk from the start area. Entry is open to various age groups depending on the distance selected, with the 8-mile run open to those aged 16 and over, the 16-mile run for those 17 and over, and the marathon distance for participants aged 18 and older.
