Terry's Tinselly Townbrook Terror
This is an informal night race held on 15 December 2026 in Church Stretton, starting at the scout hut on Church Street (SY6 6DQ). The course is approximately 3.75 km / 2.3 mi with about 270 m / 886 ft of climb. The route is partially marked and will be heavily marked where possible, though markers may be disturbed.
The event requires navigational skills and some fell running experience. Runners should carry a head torch, map, compass, waterproof top with hood and waterproof trousers, hat and gloves, and suitable running shoes. Minimum age is over 12; juniors aged 12 to 15 on the day must be accompanied on the course by a parent or legal guardian. Teams are not accepted.
Entry is a cash fee of £5 on the day only. Recorded course best times are 22:04 for male and 24:37 for female, both set in 2011. The event is insured by the Welsh Fell Runners Association. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
