Terry's Tinselly Townbrook Terror
Terry's Tinselly Townbrook Terror is an informal night race held from the scout hut at 43 Church Street, Church Stretton SY6 6DQ (what3words: enjoys.driveway.removed). The course is approximately 3.75 km (2.3 miles) with about 270 m of climb.
The route is partially marked and is described as heavily marked in normal conditions; markers may be disturbed or removed by animals or other visitors. Experience and navigational skills are required. The event notes the following recommended compulsory kit: head torch, map, compass, waterproof top with hood and waterproof trousers, hat and gloves, and suitable running shoes.
Minimum age is stated as over 12. Where runners aged 12 to 15 take part they must be accompanied at all times on the course by a parent or legal guardian. Teams are not accepted. Entry is by payment on the day only, with a fee of £5. The event is insured by the WFRA.
