Telford 10K 2026
The event is a 10 km road race based at Telford International Centre, using Telford Town Park and the Silkin Way. The course is described as generally flat, on tarmac, and run over two traffic-free laps with shelter in places. Race headquarters are adjacent to the start, and the event holds UK Athletics licensing with certified course measurement.
The route used an alternative, slightly hillier course in the previous year because of a landslide; organisers expect to return to the usual route. The alternative 2025 route was measured twice on 10 December 2025 by a UKA course measurer, certificate number 25/555. Recorded course times include 28:01 in 2024 and 31:10 in 2022. In 2024 there were 58 runners under 30 minutes based on chip time.
The event is open to runners of all abilities and includes separate elite and mass waves. Automatic wave entry is available for athletes who meet published qualifying times (for example men under 30.30 or sub 14.30 for 5 km; women under 35.00 or sub 17.00 for 5 km). Each finisher receives a bespoke metal medal. Cash prizes are offered to the first five men and first five women in the elite races, with a new course record prize and category prizes for masters and under-20 competitors. Pacers are normally provided in the mass wave at five-minute intervals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
