Worthing Five Peaks/One Peak Challenge
The Worthing Five Peaks Challenge and the Worthing One Peak Challenge take place on Saturday 5 September 2026 in the South Downs National Park and around Cissbury Ring. The event offers two route options across local hills and trails.
The event is organised by a national suicide prevention charity and marks six years of the charity's work in memory of a young man from Worthing. Funds raised will support the charity's suicide prevention activities, including training to help people recognise signs of someone who may be thinking of suicide and how to have a supportive conversation. To date, this training has reached more than 10,000 people worldwide. The organiser states that every penny raised will fund these programmes.
Distances available:
- 17 miles Five Peaks route across multiple summits
- 6 miles One Peak route around Cissbury Ring
Information provided notes the event falls during World Suicide Prevention Week and is presented as a way to honour people who have been lost to suicide. The description focuses on the routes, the charitable purpose, and the training work supported by funds raised. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
