Brighton & Hove Triathlon and Multisport Festival
The Brighton & Hove Triathlon and Multisport Festival is a multi-sport event held at Hove Lawns and along the Brighton Promenade. This British Triathlon affiliated event features a seawater swim followed by a bike and run course on a fast, flat, and traffic-free closed road circuit along the seafront.
Participants have a variety of multisport and single-discipline options to choose from:
- Standard Triathlon: 1,500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run (available for individuals and relays)
- Sprint Triathlon: 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run (available for individuals and relays)
- Super-Sprint Triathlon: 400m swim, 10km bike, 2.5km run
- Standard Duathlon: Run, bike, run format
- Sprint Duathlon: Run, bike, run format
- Standard Aquathlon: Swim and run format
- Sprint Aquathlon: 750m swim, 5km run
- 1,500m Swim: Open water swimming event
- Youth & Junior Triathlons: Specific distances for ages 8 to 16
- Scootathlon: 0.3km scoot, 0.3km bike, 0.3km run for ages 3-7
The event provides chip-timed results and a finisher's medal for all those who complete their respective courses. The venue at Hove Lawns is located approximately 1.1 miles from both Hove Station and Brighton Station, roughly a 20-minute walk. Pay and display parking is available in the surrounding areas. Participants who are not members of the British Triathlon Federation (BTF) are required to purchase a day license. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
