Event
The River Run is a Half Marathon organised by UK Training Club. The next edition is scheduled for 06/09/2026 at Adur Recreation Ground in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex. The race is the final event in The South Coast Series and follows an inaugural 2025 edition that sold out. Runners will be started in separate waves to reduce congestion on the course.
Course
The start and finish are at Adur Recreation Ground. The route begins with a loop of the recreation ground, runs alongside Shoreham Airport, turns right onto the Toll Bridge and follows the Downs Link to Upper Beeding. The course then goes into the town, crosses a newly built bridge near Bramber, passes behind Bramber Castle and returns to the river for the final stretch back to the start. The organisers list the terrain as pathway and very light trail, including Downs Link, riverside footpaths and town footpaths. The course GPX will be updated once the new bridge is confirmed complete.
Facilities and transport
The event uses a measured course with signage and timing chips. On-course provision includes toilets, water points, fully stocked aid stations, marshals and traffic management. Finishers receive medals and there are trophies for the first three runners. Other on-site items include race photography, a free baggage drop, a finishers marquee with a complimentary drink or snack, food and drink trucks and spectator seating. The address is Adur Recreation Ground, Brighton Road, Shoreham-by-Sea, BN43 5LT. Shoreham-by-Sea train station is about a 10-15 minute walk from the recreation ground. A 15% group discount applies to six or more entries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
